Pioneering!
In the early 1970's we delivered the first loading computer to the maritime sector, parallel to the
introduction of desktop computers. By 1978 we had already delivered our first onboard maintenance,
spare parts/inventory control, budget control and payroll systems, a step ahead of our competitors.
Six years later the first ship-to-shore data communication system was commissioned.

Consultas was founded by 3 naval architects in 1972, and became part of the Jotron Group 1st February 2008.
We have since the company was established been situated in Horten, Norway. This town, approx. 100 km south-west
of Oslo, is well known for its high concentration of companies within various high-tech industries. Through
its job and educational opportunities the area attracts a lot of eager and competent people making recruitment
a pleasant challenge.

Our software has over the years been approved by leading Classification Societies, and up to now
more than 2000 vessels have been equipped with a Consultas software.
Consultas is first and foremost a maritime company fully dedicated to the end users of hardware/software
delivered by us. By combining innovative technology with the addition of new, high quality products,
we shall maintain our position as a highly competent and reliable provider of maritime software
in the world.
